Bear Creek Church Records, Hannibal, MO

Bear Creek Church was also known as the Old School Baptist Church. Located 3 miles West of Hannibal, it was the first church of any denomination organized North of Salt River. It was organized on August 5, 1821 at the home of George and Anna Turner. Records provided include birth dates, death dates, marriage dates, names of churches new members had attended and the names of churches to which past members had transferred.

Hannibal, MO Riverside Cemetery

These records were compiled from the transcription of the tombstones at the cemetery and the interment records which are found at the Riverside Cemetery office. Interment records begin in 1881 and continue through 1990. The earliest tombstone recorded is from the 1840’s. Almost 4,000 burials have been included in this record. The Jewish cemetery, a separate cemetery just south of Riverside, is also included.
